WANTED: Comic Book or Movie Cosplay Photoshoot in NYC
Since more than half of my NYCC cosplay shoot fell through and because none of the remaining shoots were comic book-based cosplay, I am seeking to do one Comic Book Superhero, Movie, or Video Game cosplay photoshoot during a weekend in the near future.
For reasons stated below, NYCC was really a major disappointment in terms of cosplay photography. I expended a lot of energy in shoot preparation for shoots that never happened. My heart is telling me to get some kind of Western Pop Culture cosplay shoot done to make up for the lost opportunities of last weekend.
So if there are any cosplayers in the NY/NJ/CT area that might want to do a photoshoot with me in the near future, PLEASE let me know!
NYCC
So I was in New York on Saturday and Sunday for New York Comic Con. I only had a badge for Sunday but I had shoots planned for all weekend so I felt a Saturday badge wasn't necessary. In fact, I was already too late for 3-day and Saturday badges when I ordered mine.
But anyway, I had 5 shoots planned for the weekend and managed to do only 2 of them for various reasons. And the costume shoots I was most excited about did not happen. With that and my Otakon experience, my future in convention cosplay photography is now abundantly clear to me which I will think a little more deeply about before saying anything by year's end. But look on the bright side, I went 2 for 5 on photoshoots where at last year's NYCC I was 2 for 8. In baseball parlance, that's like batting .400; Ted Williams-esque!
With the free time available, I was able to play some Time Crisis 3 by the big Adventure Time balloon. And that's pretty much all I did on my free time while not spending any money on the show floor. Not bad, eh?
Fall Photoshoots
It's time to do this! I would like to hopefully try and get at least 2 or 3 fall fashion-ish shoots done in October-November using a mix of film and digital. (Fine, cosplay too). I'll start contact those who had expressed interest in this pretty soon.

I want to get some shoots done in NYC
and Washington D.C. before all the leaves fall off. I also want to try and do some shoots in Brooklyn as well. If anyone in those areas are interested in modelling for me on a TFP basis, drop me a line!
Current Post-Processing Queue
I am currently on a 1-shoot-a-week processing pace.

Jikai! - Extremely Slow Murder on The Orient Local

I'll be on a 1-week post convention photo-posting moratorium.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if if you were able to arrange a photoshoot for my Loki cosplay. I did the version from The Avengers movie.
I can only do a weekend though, since I work Full Time at the hospital during the week. Let me know what works for you ahead of time!
Steph's got a Lara costume from the new Tomb Raider game. If you feel like shooting that, let me know. If not, good luck!!!
(..I've got a sort of comic group too...but it's not the actual characters, it's a genderbent type of thing, so I don't think that would interest you, but I figured I'd mention it just for the hell of it.)
Hmm Lara Croft, eh? It is getting colder outside though.
And, yeah it's getting cold. But she did a shoot with EBK at Katsucon. Outside, for an hour, in the middle of February. At least the new Tomb Raider design has long pants, instead of the tiny shorts she was in, and the cutoff tank top.
If you wanted to do it, I'm sure she could manage. I might just have to try warming her up or putting a coat on her between shots.
Either way best of luck!!
